Probably. RA is one of the few tracks in the States where teams can test speeds like the cars will see in France at Le Mans. That’s why Corvette Racing was up here for so long two weeks ago.
I’ll leave my windows open and let you know if I hear anything...

Damn. If I didn’t have track days all weekend I’d take a drive up there. Even if nothing is going on, it’s a good opportunity to stop in at Lake Street Cafe and get their peanut butter and bacon appetizer; bread pudding with pork belly covered in Thai peanut sauce, sooooooo damn good.

I have yet to go to Paddock Club. All I know is that the peanut butter and bacon appetizer is worth driving up there, even if there’s no race going on. haha

They have been testing the last few days, most likely for Le Mans and for the race at RA in early August. Ford Performance tweeted a few pictures of the GT there earlier this week. I work at Road America and live roughly a mile from the carousel/back straight. Here is a photo of the Corvette team running practice a few weeks back. Full lock up into turn 3.

I live not that far away.... I really need to get up there more often. I have no excuse now, really, since I no longer work weekends.
I’m thinking about signing up for the Sunset Cruise next Saturday.

Hey man, sorry I wasn’t able to make the race. I ended up having to travel for work that day and wasn’t home. I’m familiar with teamspeak. In another league that I run regularly we use a similar conference call system since game chat isn’t very reliable with larger groups. I really want to run with you guys for a few races but I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it work if the races keep ending up during the day. On weekends I work at Road America on the media staff. I know you probably have drivers from all different time zones, so it’s understandable. The rules and regs you guys use are very similar to our league. We run on Tuesday nights and our 5th season starts next week.

Yeah we try and before 6 pm on the weekends so we don’t conflict with work schedules and so some people across the pond can race with us. We also have series that run on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with spec cars.
